Torcom has the ability to keep track of class registration for many different types of classes and seminars, including: health care, adult education, mini-courses, photography, environmental, history, business college, technical college, etc.. Here is how it works:
When a call rings in the operator is presented with a class catalog, including class number, title, and room description box. Administrators enter class information such as teachers' qualifications, curriculum, supplies, prerequisites, time and starting date, and location.
The class registration module applies and totals class fees automatically. Our software can handle situations where the person being billed is different than the person registering.
A running total of the number of registrants and the number of places still open is kept. Callers can be logged as registrants and then later changed to enrolled when their fees are paid. Operators can even put callers on a waiting list when a class is full, or hold spaces open for overflow.
Torcom's class registration software has the flexibility to allow for the fee for a class to vary depending on the status of the person registering. For example: a hospital might charge the general public a fee for classes, but give the hospital staff the classes at no charge.
Torcom automatically assigns a registration number to each call, and the operator can give it to the caller for reference. Existing registrations can be canceled and deleted. Canceling removes the person from the class but keeps a record of the call. Deleting erases even the record of the call.
Finally, Torcom creates a class roster, a report for the teacher or organizer. It includes a list of every person enrolled for a particular class. Torcom can automatically generate confirmation letters to registrants as well.
